Recently, Guangdong High People's Court issued the 20 typical cases concerning cross-border disputes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. These cases reflect the civil and commercial disputes related to Macau or Hong Kong, which were brought before and adjudicated by the courts in Guangdong Province. The issued cases concern a wide range of issues including the production and operation rights, trademark rights, land use rights, and cross-border investment, cross-border marriage, and cross-border labor, which can act as a guide for the adjudication of relevant civil and commercial cases at courts of all levels in Guangdong Province.
Among these typical cases, two were selected from BCI & BIMC's ascertainment cases. As a third-party foreign law ascertainment institution, BCI & BIMC has always maintained its professionalism. Specifically, BCI & BIMC takes the following measures in its ascertainment service. Firstly, BCI & BIMC establishes its pool of highly qualified experts, and carries out labeled classification of relevant experts, which enables accurate matching and can meet the diverse needs of clients. And Secondly, BCI & BIMC endeavors to learn details of clients' needs in law ascertainment and takes those needs into careful consideration by contacting clients in person or through telephone conferences, etc.,
Under general circumstances, it takes about two months for BCI & BIMC to issue a formal written ascertainment report, but only 2-3 days to organize an online ascertainment consultation with legal experts.
