On November 2, 2019, the Fourth Qianhai Legal Intelligence Forum with the theme on International Commercial Mediation: International Experience and Chinese Practice was held in Shenzhen. This forum won support from the Supreme People's Court of China (SPCC), the China Law Society, and the National Collaborative Innovation Center of Judicial Civilization. The Civil Adjudication Tribunal the SPCC, the SPCC's 1st Circuit Court, the China International Commercial Court, the Supreme People's Court Judicial Research Center for "Belt and Road" Initiative, and the High People's Court of Guangdong Province serve as the guiding units. The forum was hosted by Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court, Shenzhen Law Society, Justice Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen, and was organized by Shenzhen Qianhai Cooperation Zone People's Court, Shenzhen Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Benchmark Chambers International & Benchmark International Mediation (BCI & BIMC).
There were four topics discussed in the forum: (i) the latest development and practical experience in international commercial mediation; (ii) international commercial mediation in China; (iii) release of the investigation and research results; (iv) the choice of and interaction between the three carriages: litigation, mediation, and arbitration.
