In November 2023, the “Innovation of Cross-Border Commercial Legal Rules Convergence Mechanism (Shenzhen)” was recognized as one of the “Best Practice Cases” in the fourth batch of the Pilot Program of Comprehensively Deepening Innovation and Development of Services Trade (全面深化服务贸易创新发展试点第四批“最佳实践案例)” by the Office of the Inter-Ministerial Joint Conference on the Development of Trade in Services of the State Council of China. BCI&BIMC was notably highlighted as a standout part within this case.

In November 2023, BCI&BIMC was appointed as a “Cooperative Unit of the Guangdong Volunteer Expertise Service Group for Overseas Chinese,” with Ting HAN（韩婷） and Fangying ZHENG（郑方颖）from BCI&BIMC serving as experts for the group.

In July 2023, BCI&BIMC was honored as an “Outstanding Collective in Guangdong’s Foreign-related Rule of Law Construction work” and was included in the “List of National Demonstrative Institutions Supporting the Creation of Foreign-related Legal Services by Guangdong Province.”

In April 2022, the “Innovative Establishment of the Law Ascertainment Institution - BCI&BIMC” was recognized by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) as one of the experiences in “Shenzhen's Pilot Demonstration Standards to Explore the Path of Legalized Business Environment.”

In July 2021, BCI&BIMC was awarded the title of “The Supreme People’s Court Fourth Civil Division Centre for Ascertainment of Hongkong, Macao and Foreign Law(BCI&BIMC).”

In July 2021, NDRC issued a “Notice on Promoting and Learning from Innovative Measures and Practices in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone,” listing “Improving the System of Foreign Law Ascertainment and Application” as one of the 47 practices. As the first independent legal entity institution in China with foreign law ascertainment as its core business, incubated in Shenzhen, BCI&BIMC assists relevant departments in achieving “comprehensive recognition, clear ascertainment, and precise application” of foreign laws.

In February 2021, the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court introduced the third-party mediation organization, BCI&BIMC, in the process of handling the bankruptcy liquidation case of Shenzhen Han's Nenglian New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., effectively facilitating bankruptcy reconciliation. The draft settlement agreement was approved with a high vote at the creditors' meeting. This case marked the first successful introduction of a professional mediation organization by the People's Court to resolve disputes in bankruptcy proceedings, which was reported by the People's Court as a typical case.

BCI&BIMC was recognized as the "Advanced Invited Mediation organization" by the Shenzhen Futian District People's Court in 2020 and 2022.

BCI&BIMC was acknowledged as the "Excellent Mediation organization" by the Shenzhen Qianhai Cooperation Zone People's Court in 2020 and 2021.

In November 2020, the Expert Pool of Shenzhen Demonstration Pilot Zoneand the Shenzhen Think-Tank Alliance were officially inaugurated. BCI&BIMC became one of the founding members of the Shenzhen Think-Tank Alliance, and Dr. Jingyi XIAO was appointed as an expert member of the legal professional group.

In 2020, as part of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, the CCTV documentary Pioneering (《先行》) specifically featured Shenzhen's legal pioneering examples. BCI&BIMC's story was showcased as a representative in this documentary.

In 2020, BCI&BIMC's foreign law ascertainment case was included in the second batch of Typical Cases of Guangdong Courts Involving Cross-Border Disputes in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

In 2019, BCI&BIMC's foreign law ascertainment cases were included in the first batch of Typical Cases of Guangdong Courts Involving Cross-Border Disputes in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

In December 2018, BCI&BIMC won the “2018 Top Ten Chinese Rule of Law Influential Team” award  in Legal Innovation Influence Convention.

In December 2018, Dr. Jingyi XIAO was rated as one of the top ten legal service workers of the “Belt and Road” Initiative by Legal Daily. Furthermore, BCI&BIMC was recognized as one of the “Belt and Road” Initiative Outstanding Legal Practices by Legal Daily in 2019 and 2020.

In August 2018, BCI&BIMC was included in the “2018 Action Report on Chinese (Guangdong) Companies Going Global along the Belt and Road,” written jointly by the Research Center of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council(SASAC) and the Information Office of People's Government of Guangdong Province, as a typical case.

In April 2017, BCI&BIMC's “Third-party Data Integration Platform for Foreign Law Ascertainment” was recognized as “Excellent Example” in “Guangdong Governance-Modernization” in Big data and Public services 2016-2017.

In December 2015, BCI&BIMC was listed as one of the first “Institutional Innovations of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free-Trade Zone.

In September 2015, Granted by the Supreme People's Court of China, BCI&BIMC became the Base of Supreme People's Court of China for Discerning Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Foreign Law.

The establishment of the first service platform of discerning foreign law was listed in the “2014 Shenzhen Top Ten Legal Events.”The unveiling of National Law Ascertainment “One Center and Two Bases” Institution in Qianhai, Shenzhen was listed in the “2015 Shenzhen Top Ten Legal Events.”
